Dr. Joseph Barton, DMD

Dr. Barton received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida in 1986. He is also a Fellow and instructor with the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI Global). In 2005 he achieved the LVI Mastership Award, one of the first three awarded, and was also the Inaugural President of the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics (IAPA).

Dr. Barton has a high level of experience focusing on comprehensive physiologic aesthetic dentistry, as well as a special interest in the treatment of sleep disorders. He is committed to providing the highest quality dental care for his guests and places a strong emphasis on total health.

Dr. Barton's Teaching Experience

Dr. Barton has always had a keen interest in health, fitness, and personal growth. Through teaching and instruction, he is able to share his interests and knowledge while furthering his own mental, physical, and emotional development. He finds that these commitments enable him to offer a truly unmatched level of dental care to his guests.

After so many years of continuing his own education, Dr. Barton is now giving back to his profession and teaching other dentists. He is a current instructor at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, where he teaches courses on aesthetic dentistry, posterior restorations, occlusion, physiologic dentistry, full mouth reconstruction, and smile designs.

By teaching advanced dentistry techniques to other dentists, He is able to continue to improve his own technique, while also building the skills and precision of his highly competent team members. Dr. Barton’s passion for dentistry ensures that his students (and guests) enjoy an experience that inspires trust, confidence, and personal empowerment.

Personal Interests

When not performing dentistry, Dr. Barton is still having fun. He loves the outdoors and has a passion for physical fitness. An avid runner, cyclist, and swimmer, Dr. Barton has participated in many triathlons, marathons, and adventure races.

LVI Mastership

Until recently, even when doctors had been through programs at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), LVI could not assure the public that these doctors absorbed the knowledge presented to them, or grasped the important concepts of aesthetic restorative physiologic dentistry.

In 2004, Dr. Joe Barton was one of the first three dentists in the country to prove his expertise in aesthetic and physiologic dentistry and earn the Mastership award. This means that as a guest, you can look forward to an unparalleled level of care and expertise, delivered in a luxurious and relaxing environment.

Comprehensive Expertise

To be eligible for the Mastership program, Dr. Barton was required to submit three comprehensive Full Mouth Restoration cases documented to exact specifications. One of the three cases was a person experiencing severe temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain.

A comprehensive written exam was also taken, which he was required to pass with a score of 90% or higher. Passing this examination was the final acknowledgment of Dr. Barton’s advanced physiologic and cosmetic dental skills. Dr. Barton’s success in fulfilling the rigorous Mastership program requirements is proof that he acquired the information and education necessary to perform complex procedures, that he clearly demonstrated these skills and that the commitment to continue his education has greatly benefited the guests in his practice. Dr. Barton can truly be considered among the best of the best, proven, and certified as such.
