Highly Advanced 3D Imaging

Imaging is a crucial component of good dental care, and for decades dentists have relied on x-rays to give us the most complete and accurate possible idea of what’s going on with your mouth and its internal structures. Thanks to the impressively advanced results we can accomplish with 3D cone beam imaging, the team at Admira is able to create a much more detailed and robust treatment plan and can assess your mouth with a far greater level of accuracy.

If you’re interested in learning more about how 3D cone beam imaging can help you, or would like to know more about the various ways we’re offering our guests the most advanced technology available, our team is here to help! Simply reach out to us at our Jacksonville office and set up your consultation today.

What Are the Benefits of 3D Cone Beam Imaging?

At Admira, we’re excited to offer you the next generation of tools and technologies. As part of our commitment to the latest in dental tech and advanced care, we prefer to give our guests the precision that comes along with full, three-dimensional visualization. Some of the benefits that come along with 3D cone beam imaging include:

  • A greater level of dimension and accuracy when diagnosing dental issues
  • Detailed fabrication of implant surgical guides
  • Detailed imagery of your jaw structure and nerve endings
  • A thorough assessment of any potential pathology that may be present in your head and neck
  • A map of your sinuses and a detailed image of your nasal cavity and airway
  • Decreased exposure to radiation when compared with a traditional x-ray

Your 3D Cone Beam Scan

A More Detailed Look

Just like an x-ray, getting your 3D cone beam scan is a quick, easy, and totally painless procedure. A different method will be used for capturing the imagery so that we can enjoy a more thorough and detailed look at your mouth and its structures, but the actual procedure that we’ll use to gather that information is largely the same as what you’ve experienced with a traditional x-ray procedure.

Cone-Shaped Imaging

X-ray energy will be used—as with a traditional, 2D x-ray—but this will be captured with a cone-shaped pattern. This divergent pattern enables the computer to algorithmically create a full 3D image from the information, so you and your dentist can view cross-sectional imagery, and generally enjoy an unmatched level of precision and accuracy, especially when compared with your normal x-ray results.
